Molagai pudi is eaten with a little oil mixed in. It tastes great with idli, dosa, toast and rice.
Urad Dal : 1 cup
Chana Dal : 1 cup
Sesame Seeds (Til) : 2 tablespoons
Red Chillies : 1 cup
Asafoetida (Hing) : pinch
Salt to taste :
Roast the chana dal and urad dal to a brown color.
Dry grind to a fine powder.
Add the chillies, sesame seeds and salt and continue to grind.
MIx everything well.
Store in a bottle – keeps fresh for six months.
