Kootu Pudi
Ingredients
- Urad Dal : 1 ¼ tablespoon
- Coriander Seeds (Dhania) : 3 tablespoons
- Black Pepper : 1 teaspoon
- Sesame Seeds (Til) : 2 teaspoons
- Red Chillies : 10 -12
- Dry grated coconut : ½ cup
- Vegetable Oil : 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Dry roast all the ingredients, except the coconut until they are fragrant. Set aside to cool.
- Roast the coconut separately to a golden brown color. Set aside to cool.
- Using a spice grinder, grind all the ingredients to a powder.
- Store in an airtight glass jar for several months, or in the freezer for much longer.
