Ingredients

  • Besan : 500 grams

  • Powdered sugar : 450 grams

  • Ghee : 350 grams

  • Powdered Cardamom (Elaichi) Seeds : 20 pods

Directions

  • Heat about half the ghee in a thick bottomed pan. Add the besan and fry till besan becomes a golden brown. This can also be done in the microwave.

  • If microwave is used to fry the besan, heat it for 2 minutes and keep stirring before putting it back in again every time till besan becomes golden brown.
  • Let the besan cool and then add sugar and cardamom powder.
    Form into laddus (golf ball size) while the mix is still hot.
