Ingredients

  • Urad Dal : 1 ¼ tablespoon
  • Coriander Seeds (Dhania) : 3 tablespoons
  • Black Pepper : 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame Seeds (Til) : 2 teaspoons
  • Red Chillies : 10 -12
  • Dry grated coconut : ½ cup
  • Vegetable Oil : 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  • Dry roast all the ingredients, except the coconut until they are fragrant. Set aside to cool.
  • Roast the coconut separately to a golden brown color. Set aside to cool.
  • Using a spice grinder, grind all the ingredients to a powder.
  • Store in an airtight glass jar for several months, or in the freezer for much longer.
